What happens if we are offline with no internet?
Learn how AutoElevate responds when offline.
Rules that have been defined are securely encrypted and stored in a protected section of the registry during each check-in. These rules continue to function seamlessly, whether you have internet connectivity or access to our services.
For situations where no specific rule exists, we default to a position of enhanced security, allowing the User Account Control (UAC) to prompt for action. So, in the event that everything is offline and there isn't a predefined rule, you will experience the same UAC behavior as before.
As an additional security measure, we strongly recommend creating a "break the glass" local admin account on each system. This account should have restricted access, possibly limited to management personnel, and its credentials should be safeguarded for exceptional cases like these.
