What happens if we are offline with no internet?
Learn how AutoElevate responds when offline.
Rules defined within the system are securely encrypted and stored in a protected section of the registry during each check-in. These rules continue to function reliably, even in the absence of internet connectivity or access to our services.
For situations where no specific rule exists, we default to a position of enhanced security, allowing the User Account Control (UAC) to prompt for action. This ensures that, even when offline and without a predefined rule, the UAC behavior remains consistent with standard security expectations.
As an additional security measure, we strongly recommend creating a "break-glass" local administrator account on each system. This account should have restricted access—ideally limited to management personnel—and its credentials should be securely stored for use in exceptional circumstances.
