Best Practices for Naming Items
Why Item Names Matter
Clear naming helps you quickly identify items when searching or scrolling through your vault.
Recommended Naming Guidelines
- Use specific, descriptive labels (e.g., “Amex Business Card”, “Home ISP Login”).
- Include context such as “Work”, “Personal”, or client names.
- Avoid generic names like “Password” or “Account Login”.
Organizing Saved Items
Using Folders
You can assign a folder when creating or editing any item.
- Use folders for broad categories (e.g., “Work”, “Personal”, “Clients”).
- For detailed organization, combine folders with Tags.
Using Tags
Tags provide flexible cross‑category grouping and are ideal when an item belongs to multiple contexts (e.g., “#ClientA”, “Finance”, “Travel”).
